What Beatline knows about you

Beatline collects nothing about you. There is no account, no analytics, and no advertising. This page explains what that means in practice, and names the two exceptions.

What stays on your device

Your settings are stored on the phone and nowhere else: your chosen sound, brightness, sleep timer, fade length, haptics, volume limit, the shape on the Now Playing screen, and your favourites.

Nothing in that list is sent anywhere, and none of it can identify you. Delete the app and it is gone with it.

What we do not collect

No name, email address or phone number. No account to create, so there is nothing to sign in to and nothing to leak.

No analytics or usage tracking. We do not know which sounds you play, how long you listen, or when you open the app.

No advertising identifiers, no third-party ad networks, no cross-app tracking, and nothing sold or shared with data brokers.

No microphone access. The app generates sound; it never listens.

The first exception: purchases

If you buy a subscription or the lifetime unlock, the purchase is handled by Apple and by RevenueCat, the service that tells the app whether your purchase is active.

RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier it generates itself, along with the details of the transaction and basic device information such as the model and operating system version. It does not receive your name or email address, because the app never has them. Apple handles the payment itself; we never see your card details.

Nothing else leaves your device while you use the app. There is one other case, below, and it happens once when the app opens.

The other exception: updates

When the app opens, it asks our update service whether a newer version is available, so a fix can reach you without waiting for the App Store to review a new release.

That request says which version of the app you are running and which kind of device it is, and nothing else about you. It carries no identifier, nothing about what you listened to, and no way to tell one person from another beyond the network address any internet request necessarily reveals.

It happens on launch, and not while you are listening. Nothing is sent when you play a sound, and there is no background schedule.

Children

Beatline is not directed at children under 13, and since we collect nothing, we do not knowingly hold any information about anyone of any age.

Your rights

Laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you the right to see, correct and delete the personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing to request and nothing to delete.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be noted in the app update that carries them.
